Since establishing Grants West in 1995, Jay Katz has helped nonprofit organizations raise $190 million through more than 1,300 funded grants and awards. He has written proposals for every conceivable type of nonprofit organization: afterschool programs, early education providers, food pantries, homeless shelters, disability organizations, arts groups, crisis centers, healthcare providers, job training programs, mental health centers, school districts, senior centers, universities, and much more.
Katz has led classes and trainings for hundreds of nonprofit staff members and prospective grant writers. Participants have included students and staff from nonprofit organizations, school districts, higher education and municipalities.
