Test Prep Retake Policy

We have a free repeat policy for the CBEST, CSET, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, and SAT test prep classes. Save your proof of initial registration and payment and call (619) 594-5152 to inquire about pre-registering for free for the class you wish to repeat. Re-registration is required before the class begins in order to make sure that there is still space in the class that you wish to repeat.

Engineer-In-Training Examination Review
This lecture series will assist aspiring engineers in preparing for the national Fundamentals in Engineering Examination (FE/EIT) given by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers on October 24, 2009.

Please note the filing deadline for the October 24, 2009 test is August 24, 2009. Apply to take the exam online at www.pels.ca.gov.

This expanded review series consists of 16 lectures reviewing the eight major subject areas covered by the examination. The lecturers are full-time professors of engineering at SDSU or professionals from the community; each will speak on his field of expertise and be available for consultation with students.

CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) Prep Sessions
Let our outstanding teachers give you the edge to pass this very important exam! A special emphasis will be placed on a review of mathematics and applying math skills to CBEST question types. The essay section will also be carefully reviewed followed by a short review of the reading comprehension section including skills necessary to help potential teachers understand, interpret, and analyze passages. PHR/SPHR National Certification Exam Review
The PHR and SPHR designations signify you’ve mastered the HR body of knowledge. This noncredit course will prepare you for these certification exams administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute by leading you through a comprehensive and systematic review of the topics you’ll encounter on the test. You’ll also learn test-taking strategies and hints you’ll be glad you know on exam day. This course is not part of the Human Resource Management Certificate program. It is a review course designed to prepare HR professionals for the SPHR/PHR exam. Completion of the SDSU HRM certificate program (or a similar program) prior to enrollment is strongly recommended.

Grammar for Journalists
This noncredit course is for journalism, advertising, and public relations students preparing for the Grammar, Spelling, and Punctuation Test (GSP). It is designed to help you learn the language skills required in the School of Journalism and Media Studies writing courses. A passing score on the GSP test is required for admission to impacted journalism, advertising, and public relations majors.

CSET Multiple Subjects Exam (California Subjects Exam for Teachers) Prep Sessions
Get the edge in preparing for the CSET! The CSET: Multiple Subjects test preparation workshop will review the test format and analyze the question types. Strategies and techniques for the multiple-choice and constructed-response questions will be discussed with short reviews in selected areas. This program is designed to help students apply their knowledge to meet exam requirements in each of the exam subtests including: subtest I – history/social science and reading, language and literature; subtest II – science and math; subtest III – visual and performing arts, physical education and human development.
