Students will acquire important strategies, expectations, and content information about the following exams: CBEST, CSET, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, and SAT. NC 0016 CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) Prep Sessions
Let our outstanding teachers give you the edge to pass this very important California state teacher's exam! Our credentialed instructors provide in-class instruction, successful test-taking strategies, an emphasis on mathematics review, computer-assisted information, and short in-class timed practice tests. Areas covered are: mathematics, reading comprehension, and essay writing. Instruction includes information about the necessary skills to help potential teachers understand, interpret, and analyze passages. The book included in the course fee is the 2010 Edition of CliffsTestPrep CBEST Preparation Guide revised by authors of BTPS Testing.<br /><br />

NC 0020 CSET Multiple Subjects Exam (California Subjects Exam for Teachers) Prep Sessions
Get the edge in preparing for the CSET! The CSET: Multiple Subjects test preparation workshop will review the test format and analyze the question types. Strategies and techniques for the multiple-choice and constructed-response questions will be discussed with short reviews in selected areas. This program is designed to help students apply their knowledge to meet exam requirements in each of the exam subtests including: subtest I – history/ social science and reading, language & literature; subtest II – science and math; subtest III – visual and performing arts, physical education and human development. The book included in the course fee is the 2009 <em>CliffsTestPrep CSET – Multiple Subjects Preparation Guide </em>written by the instructors of BTPS Testing.<br /><br />

NC 0028 GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) Prep Sessions
Effective preparation for the GMAT is important! Our instructors provide in-class instruction, successful test-taking strategies, computer adaptive test information, in-class timed practice exams, and a comprehensive textbook. All of these features create a winning combination. Areas covered are: math ability/problem-solving (including a short review of algebra and geometry), data sufficiency, reading comprehension, sentence correction, critical reasoning, and the analytical writing assessment. Classes preparing for the June 2012 exam will include information about the NEW integrative reasoning section. The book included is <em>The Official Guide for GMAT Review</em> (12th edition) with over 800 practice problems.<br /><br />

NC 0030 GRE (Graduate Record Examination) General Test Prep Sessions
Learn how to maximize your test-taking potential on the NEW 2011-2012 GRE! This workshop will provide classroom instruction about the NEWLY REVISED GRE including new question types, strategies, in-class practice testing, and computer section-level adaptive testing. This workshop emphasizes analyzing and reviewing each of the new sections and new question types: quantitative reasoning includes arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis, data interpretation, and word problems; verbal reasoning includes reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence. The two analytical writing essays are "Analysis of an Issue" and "Analysis of an Argument." A short review of mathematics is also included. The book included in the course fee is the <em>NEW 2011 Edition of CliffsTestPrep GRE General Test Guide</em> written by authors of <em>BTPS Testing</em>.<br /><br />

NC 0078 SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) Prep Sessions
Be prepared for the SAT! These workshops are designed to prepare students for the SAT by reviewing all the question types. Fifty percent of the class will focus on math (including enhanced math question types), and the other fifty percent of the class will be used to analyze critical reading, sentence completion and the writing sections (essay and multiple choice). The classes are taught by credentialed teachers who specialize in mathematics or English. The book included in the course fee is <em>CliffsTestPrep SAT Preparation Guide </em>by Jerry Bobrow, Ph.D.<br /><br />
