Political Science Weekend Courses for Credit

Earn extra units for graduation. Discuss current issues and hot topics. Short courses for the busy lifestyle.

This course series will allow participants to earn extra units to graduate while having the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and hot topics in a variety of areas.

Each course consists of only two class meetings; typically a Friday/Saturday combination. Course fee is $185 per course. Additional weekend courses are offered in Public Administration and Sociology.

Political Film: Current Events and Social Movements
This course will analyze and discuss feature length political films and relate them to recent current events and social movements (ex. Israeli-Gaza relations, Greek uprisings, Latin American developmentalism projects, etc).

From Suffrage to Sarah Palin: Women and Electoral Politics
This course will examine women's experiences in electoral politics, including women's quest for the vote, women's bids for elective office and the gender gap in voting behavior.
