Basic Photography: Beyond the Snapshot |
Bring your film or adjustable digital camera! This class has all you need to learn about your camera and basic photographic techniques. Topics include correct light meter readings, f/stops, shutter speeds, and composition. Optional assignments and critiques include stop action and panning the camera during action to blur background. Includes field trip to Balboa Park. Learn how to pose portraits and how to get sharper scenes. The result is properly exposed, professional looking photos, beyond the snapshot. Whether you just bought your camera, or have owned one for years, this workshop is for you.

Do you have a digital camera that is filled to capacity because you don’t know what to do next? In this hands-on class you will learn how to email, print, create greeting cards and calendars, as well as digital online galleries and more. Using easy-to-learn methods, learn how to transfer them quickly and easily.

Instructor: Phillip Roullard is a professional photographer who earned his B.A. in photography from the Brooks Institute of Photography. His photographs have appeared in numerous local and national publications including National Geographic Books, Sunset Books, Audubon Guides, and the San Diego Zoo's ZooNooz.
