Join fellow Osher members in visiting this exciting special exhibition at the San Diego Museum of Art. This exhibit features approximately 80 works by iconic artist Georgia O’Keeffe and the important female Modernists who paved the way for her. The women represented in the exhibition, including Gertrude Käsebier, Pamela Colman Smith, Anne Brigman, and Katharine Rhoades, were all, at one point, reigning artists in the circle of the famous photographer, Alfred Steiglitz. The San Diego Museum of Art is proud to host this traveling exhibition as it is the first to bring works by all these pioneering female artists together in the same context, adding to the knowledge and appreciation of the art of Georgia O’Keeffe and the development of American Modernism.
