Earn a Professional Certificate in the Lean Enterprise,
and gain practical knowledge that can be immediately applied to your work place. During this
13-week program, you and your project team will implement Lean concepts to your business,
improving its quality while decreasing its costs. Whether you work in service, transactional
activities, or manufacturing processes, your organization will benefit from the experience
of our seasoned instructors.
The Lean philosophy is a strategy for achieving significant improvement in performance through
elimination of waste in the total business process.
The Lean program introduces class participants to the Lean philosophy by incorporating learning
tools that include simulations, exercises, lectures, and assignments.
Throughout the program, participants work in project teams applying the Lean concepts to their
own workplaces. At the conclusion of the program, participants receive a certificate of completion.

Lean Basics and Simulation
Lean principles, tools, and application. Interactive simulation teaches how to
implement Lean principles to your operation achieving rapid and dramatic results.
Metrics and Incentives
Identify incentives that drive the outcomes desired in a Lean operation.
Value Stream Mapping - Current and Future State (with
tour)
Map value streams and develop current state and future state maps of your organization.

The Instructors
Joseph V. Colarusso, president of JVC Consulting, Inc., specializes
in Lean enterprise consulting. Documented $212 million client savings. Expertise includes
lean manufacturing, materials, sales, marketing, finance, inventory management, and distribution.
Rajendra (Raju) Deshpande National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST) certified lean manufacturing master trainer and implementer. Oversees check operation
process for Bank of America. Holds MBA in management from California State University, Los
Angeles; MS in mechanical engineering from University of Texas, Arlington; and BE in mechanical
engineering, College of Engineering, Pune, India.
Dick Nordquest, president D&H Consulting, LLC., is former VP of
process improvement at Guidant Corporation. Since 1993, has led over 400 international lean
implementations.
Mike Osterling, certified trainer lean manufacturing implementation
(University of Kentucky). CPIM certified and Six Sigma Black Belt. Lean transition consultant
since 2000. Designed and deployed Lean management system at Square D Company. B.A. in production
and operations management and his MBA in international business are from SDSU.
John Robinson improved maintenance processes for U.S. Navy warships
for 20 years. As chief engineer, SUPSHIP, introduced lean manufacturing into a 350-person
support organization. Conducted over 20 Lean improvements to complex manufacturing processes.
Reduced maintenance infrastructure redundancy, achieving 300% ROI.
Ric Van Der Linden has trained, mentored, and certified 150 Green Belts/Lean
resulting in a three-year accumulated savings of $20 million. As a champion of Lean and Six
Sigma, has driven results in manufacturing, assembly, materials management, human resources,
finance, health/safety/environment, quality management, facilities, and product design. Former
manufacturing engineer with Honeywell.

Lean Enterprise Certificate |
The Advanced Lean Certificate was developed as the next
phase for companies already practicing Lean concepts to assist operations management, Lean
champions, HR leaders and others deploying Lean within their organizations. The Advanced Lean
program will also allow you to expand Lean to the non-manufacturing and administrative areas
of the business. This course provides advanced knowledge in the implementation of Lean Enterprise
principles and is designed for Lean practitioners who have earned the Lean Enterprise Certificate.
