This program is a partnership between San Diego State University and Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo that is designed to offer courses in California to a wide audience. This new program
is offered for credit and is conveniently held online.
Who Should Attend: The certificate is designed for professionals
working in public safety, security management, disaster management and recovery, law enforcement,
information and communications personnel, fire protection, as well as corporate executives
responsible for security programs. Those seeking to enter the fields of disaster management
and homeland security will also find the certificate beneficial.

By completing the courses, you will receive a dual Professional Certificate In Disaster
Management and Homeland Security from both SDSU and Cal Poly.
In order to earn the certificate, students must complete six
of the following seven courses:
