people in a variety of exciting positions. SDSU's Professional Certificate in Casino
Gaming will provide you with the skills to succeed at any level in this fast-growing
industry. Instructors and guest speakers are industry professionals who will provide relevant
and practical information. Off-site visits will be part of the class experience.
The Certificate
Take a total of six courses, five core courses and one elective to complete the program.
Each course is four weeks long, one evening a week.
Core classes include: Introduction to Indian Gaming - Past and Present; Gaming Regulations
on Sovereign Soil; Casino Surveillance and Security; Casino Marketing and Promotion;
and HR's Role and the Service Strategy.
Electives include: Understanding the Profit Picture, Table Games Management, Basic Slot
Operations, Introduction to Gaming Operations, and Managing Performance and Development.
