cause confusion or misunderstandings? This seminar will give you the help you need, providing
tips and guidelines to prevent those embarrassing mistakes and avoid communication misfires
that cost time and money.
Writing for Business: The Five Essential Steps
Few business skills are more powerful or influential than solid writing skills. Learn proven
tools for writing that can be applied directly to any assignment - from a quick note to a
full-length proposal. This interactive workshop will focus on the five essential steps of
the writing process. Working through this process, you will apply what you learn through practical
exercises.
Perfecting Your Document: Editing and Proofreading
With hands-on exercises, this seminar quickly trains you to perfect the content and appearance
of business documents. You will learn ways to make a message accessible, how to write reader-friendly
sentences, and how to soften a negative message. You will be able to eliminate wordiness,
correct errors, and ensure the accuracy and clarity of your writing projects. Please bring
one or two documents that you wish to revise.
Words at Work: Follow-up Coaching
Once you have completed the Words at Work series, you will have the opportunity to receive
professional feedback on one of your business documents. Our expert instructor will be available
for consultation throughout the afternoon following the third seminar of the series. Together
you will edit and proofread your document and lay out a plan to achieve your writing goals. |
