Osher Hosts Spring Semester Kickoff Event

osher logoSan Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies will host a spring semester kickoff for its Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program for individuals 50 years of age and better at 10 am on Saturday, January 21 at the SDSU Extended Studies Center.

Attendees will learn more about the program, listen as faculty members present short previews of their courses, mingle with new and returning Osher students, and visit the state-of-the-art SDSU Extended Studies Center where classes in the program take place.

Students in the Osher program join curious fellow learners and outstanding instructors, including faculty from SDSU and other area universities, and award-winning authors and artists. There are no tests, grades, or exams – just a chance to dive into learning and recapture the thrill of intellectual growth and the camaraderie of a vibrant learning community.

Refreshments will be served at the kick-off event. Everyone who attends may enter a raffle for a free Osher membership and Osher book-club books.

For more program information and to RSVP for the kick-off event, call (619) 594-2863, e-mail osher@mail.sdsu.edu or visit the website.

This is a SDSU Research Foundation program.
