I think you should also have included a reference to how much content is on the page. In my experience, your on-page SEO is far more effective on pages where you have a lot more content. For example – a 1000 word article on a topic is typically easier to get ranked than a 250 word article on the same topic. There must be some algorithmic factor involved.
