I'm in the information technology business – that's been my career for the last 28 years. I don't necessarily want to change careers, I'm trying to enhance my career path within that field. Rather than a wholesale switch, I've found that a lot of the jobs I'm applying for prefer you have project management certification. I've managed a lot of projects informally, so this will enhance my resume to say I have that skill and have been through the certification process.
