SAN DIEGO, Thursday, June 7, 2007 - A graduation ceremony for the nearly 200 students who have successfully completed a professional certificate program through San Diego State University's College of Extended Studies will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Thursday, June 21 in the Aztec Athletic Center.

Professional certificates are recognized by most employers as a significant academic accomplishment and can lead to new jobs, as well as promotions for those who obtain them. They are typically more relevant and focused for today's workforce than academic degrees and can be completed in a much shorter period of time.

Keynote speaker is Kimberly King, traffic reporter for NBC 7/39 News in the Morning.
