Extended Studies Hosts Information Exchange
at Pechanga
TEMECULA, Thursday, January 11, 2007 - Seeking a career in food
and wine or Indian Gaming? Want to refresh your skills in these
growth industries? Representatives from San Diego State University's
College of Extended Studies (CES) will be at Pechanga Resort &
Casino from 11 am-4 pm Wednesday, January 24 to help attendees learn
how they can benefit from continuing education opportunities.
In conjunction with Pechanga, CES is introducing its most comprehensive
list of courses ever held in Southern Riverside County. These courses
are not only available to Pechanga employees but also to the general
public. Individual courses, typically held in late afternoons, also
can be applied to certificates in hospitality, wine and casino gaming
or students can create a certificate from a cross-section of courses.
Casino Gaming courses at Pechanga this semester include Surveillance
and Security, February 5-26; and Marketing and Promotion
(April dates to be announced).
Business of Wine courses include Dynamic Wine and Food Pairing
II, February 5-12; and Selling Wine for Managers, April
5-26. Restaurant Management Operations, held here for the
first time, is slated for February 6-27.
