Coaching Leader Goldsmith Coming to SDSU
for Jan. 20 Seminar
SAN DIEGO, Thursday, December 15, 2005 - Marshall Goldsmith, recognized
by the American Management Association as one of 50 great thinkers
and leaders in the field of management over the past 80 years, is
coming to San Diego State University's College of Extended Studies
on Friday, Jan. 20.
He will be among the panelists in the coaching for leadership seminar
"Helping Successful Leaders Get Even Better!" from 7:30
am-noon in the SDSU Extended Studies Center.
Goldsmith is a world authority in helping successful leaders achieve
positive, measurable change in behavior - for themselves, their
people, and their teams. In this fast-paced session, he will describe
why it can be so difficult for successful people to change.
He will then share the results of his recently-published research
on leadership development; Leadership Is a Contact Sport
that involved over 86,000 respondents in eight major corporations.
He will also share a proven process for helping leaders develop
themselves.
By the end of this interactive session, participants will:
- Understand why behavioral change can be so challenging for successful
people
- Learn how to use a proven process to help develop as leaders
- Gain coaching skills that help individuals and teams achieve
positive, lasting change in behavior
