SAN DIEGO, Friday, October 15, 2004 - The Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians is donating $50,000 for naming rights to the conference room in the new Extended Studies Center on the San Diego State University campus.

Check presentation ceremonies for the donation will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 18, at the Extended Studies Center. Among the dignitaries expected to attend are General Manager Steve Penhall of Sycuan and Dean William Byxbee from SDSU's College of Extended Studies.

Sycuan has been a key player in the Professional Certificate in Casino gaming program offered since April by the College of Extended Studies.
