College Offers Forensic Science Class on
Solving and Answering Law Questions
SAN DIEGO, Wednesday, April 7, 2004 - A forensic science course
offered by SDSU's College of Extended Studies will introduce students
to the various specialized disciplines that interface and integrate
with the criminal justice system to solve and answer questions at
law.
The Survey of Forensic Science I class will be held Tuesdays, May
11-July 13 from 5:30-9:30 pm at SDSU's Gateway Center. It is open
to Criminal Justice Administration majors and the general public.
This course is an introduction and overview of the forensic sciences
to include: forensic pathology, odontology, anthropology, entomology,
serology, hair and fiber analysis instrumentation, questioned documents,
and forensic psychology. The class is extremely graphic in nature.
Instructor for the course is Daniel Matticks, retired medical examiner
investigator at the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Cost for the three-unit criminal justice administration course is
